Intelligize+ AI™ Harnesses New Technologies to Enhance SEC Compliance Research

Today, I’m pleased to share that performing research on our platform just got a whole lot easier and more powerful. We’ve enhanced the value of our SEC compliance analytics and research platform with the launch of Intelligize+ AI, which incorporates new search technologies and generative artificial intelligence to offer users a more powerful and efficient research experience by quickly finding, analyzing and comparing documents using natural language processing.

In reimagining our platform, we wanted to give our customers a solution that uses AI to help them improve the quality of their results and reclaim much of the time they had traditionally spent on research. With the rapid development of AI technologies, we saw an opportunity to empower our users to efficiently surface higher quality search results than ever before, leading to improved compliance and reduced research hours. Disclosure Benchmarking, for instance, a time consuming but necessary task that few relish, will be a far less daunting experience on the new platform.

Although the Intelligize+ AI enhancements include several new AI-based tools, we designed them to complement to our existing capabilities. We were determined not to incorporate AI just to latch-on to the latest technology trend, rather as a tool to augment the strategic work that can only be performed by smart, qualified humans.

The International Organization for Standardization has stated that “Responsible AI is an approach to developing and deploying artificial intelligence from both an ethical and legal standpoint. The goal is to employ AI in a safe, trustworthy and ethical way. Using AI responsibly should increase transparency while helping to reduce issues such as AI bias.”

We agree wholeheartedly with that statement, and applied more specifically to Intelligize, we believe Responsible AI is about more than doing the right thing; it’s an important risk management guardrail to increase confidence that the AI tool you’re using will avoid potential reputational and financial damage to your company in the future. Development of Intelligize+ AI was guided by the RELX Responsible AI Principles (RELX is the parent company of Intelligize), which prioritize secure and private interaction. Our generative AI is powered by a privately hosted model that is not shared with third parties. It uses a complex and proprietary retrieval augmented generation process to improve the accuracy of responses, ensure answers are grounded in authoritative sources and provide links to verifiable citations.
