Kevin Brown is a Partner at Reed Elsevier Ventures. Before venture capital, Kevin was an entrepreneur, having founded a risk management technology company selling derivative pricing and management software to the banking and energy industries. Earlier, he spent a number of years at Arthur Andersen’s European strategy consulting practice. Kevin earned his M.A. degree in Social and Political Sciences from King’s College, Cambridge.
Hans Gieskes is the President and CEO of Cision Group, a global medial intelligence services company. He has served as President and CEO of Lexis Nexis Group and Houghton Mifflin Co. Also, Hans was President of Monster.com.
David M. Mars is the Managing Partner at White Owl Capital Partners. Previously, David worked for an IDT Teleco start-up business unit, which he helped grow to over $200 million in revenue. Earlier, he was an analyst at PricewaterhouseCoopers. David earned his MBA at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. at Boston University.
Howard Morgan is a Partner at First Round Capital; a director and founding investor in Idealab, and President of Arca Group. He has over 25 years of experience nurturing the growth of more than 30 technology start-ups. He serves as a director of a number of private and public companies. Howard was a Professor of Computer Science at University of Pennsylvania from 1972 to 1986. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Cornell University, and a B.S. in Physics from the City University of New York.
Gurinder S. Sangha, Intelligize’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, previously worked as a capital markets attorney for Sherman & Sterling in New York City, and White & Case in Hong Kong. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A. from University of Toronto.

Phil Brown is the former CEO and co-founder of Global Securities Information (GSI). Under Phil’s leadership, GSI became the leading SEC research platform in the marketplace and was subsequently acquired by Thomson Reuters in July of 2005. Phil has over 20 years of experience in the legal and business information industry and has written two books on SEC Research. He has won numerous awards for entrepreneurship and product innovation. Phil provides Intelligize with strategic guidance on product development and customer focus.
Allen Morgan is a Director of Idealab and also serves as Managing Director of Idealab’s New Ventures Group. Morgan has spent 30 years counseling entrepreneurs throughout the startup process, first as a well-known Silicon Valley lawyer and, between 1999 and 2011, as a Managing Director at Mayfield. Prior to joining Mayfield, he was a partner with two Silicon Valley law firms, Latham & Watkins and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. In his career, he has closed more than 750 venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and other public offerings.
